6M1L est un projet impulsé par Xavier Le Roy, artiste associé au Centre chorégraphique de Montpellier en 2007 et 2008.
6M1L implique 9 artistes : Eleanor Bauer, Bojana Cvejic, Juan Dominguez, Mette Ingvartsen, Gerald Kurdian, Xavier Le Roy, Chrysa Parkinson, Eszter Salamon, Jefta Van Dinther.

Associé au programme de formation du CCN de Montpellier (ex.e.r.ce 08), 6M1L propose d’expérimenter des conditions de travail établies comme préalable pour créer un champ d’exploration où des artistes, chercheurs, théoriciens et étudiants développent divers projets.

Cette plateforme de travail se développe à travers des liens intimes et intenses entre les activités de création, production, enseignement, apprentissage, et le développement de projets artistiques (du domaine des arts vivants et plus spécifiquement des arts chorégraphiques). Ces processus ainsi mis en place seront ponctués de divers types d’entrées, d’accès, de partage, d’expositions ou présentations publics.

6M1L - six months one location

The 6M1L project is based on a close observation of the Centre chorégraphique’s diverse activities, i.e. ex.e.r.ce, hors séries and the residencies for choreographic creation and research.
Ultimately, this project is an experimental field in order to explore, broaden and transform the framework of these activities by interlinking them in fresh ways.
At the same time, the interface between 6M1L and ex.e.r.ce 08 is an opportunity to further long-standing concerns about modes of collaborating and work-sharing in relation with research, education and modes of production, and also to see what happens when you work 6 months straight in the same place.
